In August 2008 my youngest son Oliver was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.  He received chemotherapy as an in patient at the Southampton General Hospital.  The support from our friends and colleagues has been nothing short of overwhelming and I cannot thank everyone enough for their love and support. It is now only 12 months to wait until Oliver is given the all clear so we hope for a trouble free 2011 for him.

Oliver has benefitted from the very best of care on the Piam Brown ward.  He has been entered into the AML15 trial which is being funded by the Medical Research Council.  My wife and I are so grateful to all those parents over the years who have allowed their children to be entered into the trials so that Oliver is now benefiting from the experience which has developed over many years. The UK leads the treatment of AML and has the best cure rates in the world.

A tremendous amount of work is being carried out to improve the cure rates of Leukaemia and other children's cancers and 'Leukaemia Research' has our full support.  If you are in a position to help this excellent charity then my family and all those other families who have children with Leukaemia would be very grateful.

Lyndsey has run the London Marathon 3 times in total and raised well over £10000. We recently bred one of our Golden Retrievers and the cost of 4 pups from the litter of 10 was given to Piam Brown WardCLIC Sargent, The Make A Wish Foundation and The Teenage Cancer Trust. A photo shoot has produced wonderful cards which CLIC Sargent are selling raising much needed funds.
